As our Game Operations and Camps Specialist, you will be responsible for the preparation, planning, and execution of all elements within game entertainment, external events, and camps. This role will work with key stakeholders to make interactive fan experiences during games and will organize the logistics of camps for players and coaches to attend within the G League.
DAY-TO-DAY:
- Collaborate with Corporate Partnership and arena operations to develop and facilitate engaging in-arena/concourse-related activations (e.g., interactive games, partnership tables, giveaways, etc.).
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the league office to ensure all game presentations are in compliance with league-mandated rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and basketball operations to coordinate and execute basketball camps and clinics with G League players and coaches, including creating process documentation for future planning and reference.
- Collaborate with the PR and Community Specialist to create inclusive events for in-game entertainment that is representative of our communities.
- Lead all in-game elements, including creating game scripts, serving as show caller for all home games, and managing all game presentation prop inventory.
- Act as an enthusiastic brand ambassador for the organization in and out of the arena during all games and camps.
- Coordinate with ticket sales and marketing staff to implement strategies that apply to revenue and brand goals.
- Work alongside Trail Blazers Game Operations & Events Department to assist in shared resources and ideation of new activations as needed.
- Create and maintain master calendar for corporate partnership activations and fan experiences.
- Oversee two game night employees.
- Develop and implement on-court games, contests, and activations, with a focus on fan interactions during pre-game, halftime, and game breaks.
- Work alongside creative team to develop dynamic and engaging video content including game opening and player introduction sequences.
- Previous experience working within game operations for another professional or amateur sport, preferred.
- Strong logistical ability when it comes to planning and implementing events and/or travel.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively for real-time solutions.
- An ability to adhere to deadlines while balancing multiple projects with varying timelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to motivate and engage with diverse audiences with the goal of increasing excitement.
- An ability to work under pressure while being visible to an audience.
- A strong understanding and knowledge of the logistics within a basketball game, preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong public speaking.
