About the Fulfillment Center General Manager position

Forget everything you know about the restaurant supply chain industry because we’re building something different. We are revolutionizing the industry and need an experienced General Manager who will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities. We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment. You will manage a multi-shift operation comprised of management, administrative, and hourly associates in a three temperature warehouse fulfilling orders for our business customers. You are a reliable, dedicated leader who has a passion for helping restaurants and small businesses succeed!

Responsibilities

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing work-related duties as needed
• Build and manage a team of exempt and hourly employees who pick the product, provide quality control, load what has been picked, and ship orders
• Provide employees with a safe and clean work environment
• Enforces proper food safety practices
• Initiates, coordinates, and enforces operational policies and procedures
• Achieve core KPIs (key performance indicators) set by senior management, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
• Ensures associates follow all safety policies and procedures
• Complies with local and federal employment laws
• Conducts operations in accordance with OSHA and MSDS Standards
• Investigates and reports all safety accidents and violations in a timely manner

About you

• BA/BS Preferred
• Computer literate with experience working with Microsoft or Google office suite products
• 10+ years in an operations role, preferably in the food & beverage industry
• Warehouse & logistics management required
• Experience leading junior managers and supervisors
• Exceptional interpersonal skills working with customers, vendors, and employees
• Experience in high volume, fulfillment or manufacturing environment

Physical demands and ability

• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Frequently required to push, pull, squat, bend and reach
• The ability to work in a cold storage warehouse environment with -5 degrees to 55 degrees temperature for long periods of time is required.
• Regularly required to stand 100% of working shift if required by job responsibilities
• Mobility necessary to work all levels of the building
• Able to control moving equipment at all times
