Ft Social Worker - Child Protection

Position Summary: Provide child protection investigation and/or case management services to children and families. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Investigate reports of abuse/neglect of children. Screen child protection reports with screening teams. Supervise family-based workers, foster parents, therapists, and skills workers. Coordinate services and referrals for families. Interprets child protective services and child welfare laws pertaining to abuse/neglect. Attend and facilitate Child Protection multi-disciplinary teams. Arrange and provide for visitation of children with their families. Prepare intensive long or short-term case plans. Consult with psychiatrists, psychologists, attorneys and other providers. Make child foster and residential placements. Prepare court reports and recommendations; testify in court proceedings; interprets/implement judicial findings and court orders. Protect client confidentiality in compliance with data privacy laws and rules. Act as a mandated reporter of child and adult protection concerns. Mobilize crisis resources to reasonably assure health and safety of clients. Provide direct and indirect support to families and individuals in the home, office and community. Assist with transporting clients as needed. Knowledge and ability to effectively use SSIS and Assessment Tools. Maintain case records which meet federal and state guidelines. Complete annual and ongoing training as required. Participate in agency/unit meetings and represent the County, as approved, on various boards/committees/special projects. Perform office intake and weekend on-call duties as required by the agency including working outside regular business hours. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent. County Agency Social Worker Bachelor s Degree ENTRY hourly wage range: \$28.68 to \$32.16, DOQ. Position has a full earning potential of \$40.42 per hour, DOQ. County Agency Social Worker Master s Degree ENTRY hourly wage range of \$30.12 to \$33.77, DOQ. Position has a full earning potential of \$42.44 per hour, DOQ.
