We are currently seeking a Front Office Manager for The Inn at SentryWorld, our luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Wisconsin. What You'll Do

  • Administers human resources-related activities including timely performance and salary reviews and ensures all subordinates adhere to human resources policies and practices. Selects, develops, motivates, and recognizes staff.
  • Responsible for 'Property Management' and 'Point of Sale' systems, which may include training of associates, reprogramming, and generating reports.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and businesses ensuring maximum profitability and strong customer service through effective sales and service.
  • Works in conjunction with Revenue Manager to develop market initiatives for The Inn to maximize room yield and generate sales.
  • Establishes, implements, and maintains hotel operational procedures, policies, and best practices to effectively manage the front office, while maintaining service standards and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. Manages policy, procedure, system reviews to identify process gaps and potential enhancements. Research, recommends, and implements improvements that enhance operational productivity and positively impact the front office and guest experience. Adheres to and actively promotes the Sentry Services Credo and Service Standards.
  • Manages inventory functions to identify equipment and supplies that need to be purchased and maintained. Collaborates with Hotel Director and Procurement to establish agreements for the purchase of materials.
  • Partners with the Hotel Director to oversee daily operations for front of house departments within the Inn to ensure exceptional service is provided, brand concepts are maintained, and all internal and external requirements are adhered to.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned from time to time
  • Tracks and maintains costs for front of house to ensure operations within established budgets
  • Partners with Physical Security to ensure safety and security of all Sentry Services associates, visitors, and assets. Communicates with Physical Security regarding any needs and to resolve any concerns.
  • Attends community, local, state, and regional events to promote Sentry Services facilities, make contacts, and identify and develop potential sales opportunities.
  • Understands, implements, and ensures adherence to Sentry Services credo and service standard.
  • Maintains a presence at The Inn to monitor the quality of service and to keep informed of any service concerns of complaints, becoming involved as necessary. Instructs and empowers staff to resolve complaints in a manner which will be a positive experience for guests.

  • Strong communication, human relations, and motivational skills.
  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent customer service, collaborative, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Hours for this job include working nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Additional hours may be needed beyond the normally scheduled hours to prepare for banquets/special events.
