JOB DESCRIPTION: The Front Desk Receptionist is the first person and last person our patients see when visiting Tribeca Pediatrics! They are responsible for greeting and helping patients and parents. Their duties include checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries and maintaining records for Tribeca Pediatrics offices.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Desk Receptionists work simultaneously checking in and out patients as well as the following responsibilities:
- Maintain an organized, efficient and professional work environment
- Answer general questions about the practice in a courteous manner
- Ensure patient information is accurate including demographic info, billing/insurance information
- Register new patients
- Assist with provider needs/requests
- Keep office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs
- Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patient's' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
- Notifying parents of outstanding balance, copays as taking payments
- Fill out and send School/Camp Medical Forms
- Adhere to all practice policies and remain HIPAA Compliant
- Schedule, Move, Cancel and Confirm Appointments
- Call in, fax and/or print prescriptions
- Provide seamless customer service
- Process fax transmissions and emails through Salesforce appropriately
- Forward messages to RN/Providers
- Work on special projects or task designated by department manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
- High School Diploma or Graduation Equivalency Degree (GED)
- Must be able to show proof of vaccination against Hepatitis B, Tdap, MMR, and COVID-19.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- 1+ Years of Customer Service Experience
SALARY
- Starting rate - $17.00/hour
