Job Description
The Bowery Hotel is a boutique luxury hotel located in the Noho/East Village area of Manhattan.
We are looking for motivated experienced guest service agents who prioritize exceptional customer service and are looking to grow with our company.
Compensation is $25.46 per hour, plus commissions on certain concierge bookings.
Previous Front Desk Agent or Guest Service Agent experience at a hotel is highly preferred. Customer service, personal assisting, travel industry, administration or production experience is a must. Ability to work in a high volume environment with a calm and cool demeanor is essential. This is a position where details matter and communication is key.
This position will include but is not limited to the following:
  • Thorough communication with other departments.
  • Taking reservations.
  • Existing OPERA property management system experience is a very strong plus.
  • College course work in Hotel/Hospitality field helpful.
  • Clear communication with managers as well as upper management.
  • Setting up billing for guests.
  • Attention to detail when entering reservations, noting requests, managing VIP's is crucial.
  • Written communication with guests and potential guests via email.
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Concierge services for our guests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Checking guests in and out of the hotel.
  • Answering all calls in a prompt, professional and efficient manner.
  • Detailed procedures to be followed daily.
  • Processing in-room dining phone orders from in-house guests.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

This Position Requires
Customer Service Professional with high end experience.
1 year of luxury hotel experience guest facing or over the phone preferred
Standing while on shift, excluding breaks
Professional command of the English language both verbally and written
Independently motivated, detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Excellent work ethic with a positive disposition
Strong, thorough communication skills
The ability to retain training information as well as daily task requirements
The ability to follow directions exactly and with enthusiasm
