Designer Graphics - Movement
Overview
To support design by completing and conceptualizing apparel graphics and related duties in an efficient and timely manner and providing the assistance needed to create and execute product that represents the unique style of the free people customer. Create at least 12 items per assigned delivery from concept to production and assist with graphic and print development. Designs must be chosen to develop and produce.

In addition, we produce a direct-to-consumer catalog and website, providing an inspiring shopping experience for the carefree, confident, and curious young woman who appreciates our distinctive assortment of apparel and accessories.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design to develop seasonal graphic and brand direction
- Source graphic inspiration to be used for original graphic designs
- Create print and graphic layouts and provide colorways
- Create cads in order to communicate placement of graphics on garments
- Create packages to be sent to vendors and factories
- Communicate with product development team and vendors to ensure proper execution of prints and yarn dyes
- Create graphics and branding at manager’s request
- Conduct research and create graphics for specific design projects as needed
- Attend and participate in design and design flow meetings
- Lead design meetings with buyers and designers in order to meet their apparel graphic and branding needs while executing the vision of senior designer / design director
- Train assistants in photoshop, and other cad programs as needed
- Assist in overseeing assistants in order to ensure proper execution
- Keep personal and shared spaces organized, clean, and tidy
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the Free People aesthetic and customer
- Strong Understanding of printing techniques and ability to problem solve around print limitations
- Collaborative mentality with strong cross-department communication skills
- Experience in Photoshop
- Illustrator, NedGraphics, and Tradestone experience welcomed
