Job Description

FP&A is an integral part of the decision-making process at Lyft, embedded within the business to ensure we maximize ROI and drive to the best possible P&L outcomes. Lyft’s FP&A team is looking for a strong Financial Analyst to support our People and Legal organization.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the overall rollup of total People and Legal OpEx
  • Partner with the accounting group to manage close timelines, process and reporting
  • Directly support the People and Legal team to provide world-class analysis, monthly and quarterly forecasting and reporting to stakeholders across the organization
  • Seek out opportunities to create new processes and take on increasing business partnership relationships
  • Partner with our internal system’s team to facilitate system optimizations and reporting
  • Own the Monthly & Quarter-end close process end-to-end for key spends, flagging any potential issues/risks through timely variance analysis
  • Prepare executive-grade reporting to identify root causes/discrepancies, summarize findings, and make recommendations
  • Support the People and Legal team through the development of the annual Budget process
  • Undertake ad hoc analytics and special projects as directed by Leadership
  • Assemble dynamic and comprehensive financial reports that evaluate current and future spend vs. plan and forecast by People and Legal team
  • Facilitate change management as necessary for purchase order process to ensure OpEx close is automated and accurate


Experience:


  • Strong G-Sheet and Slide skills is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.
  • BA/BS with 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analytics in a rigorous environment (high growth company experience preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision
  • Process improvement oriented
  • Detail oriented and highly organized self-starter with a drive to dig into complex problems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively across various departments
  • Expert in Excel. Experience building complex formulas and manipulating large data sets

Starting in September 2023, this role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.


The expected range of pay for this position in the US is $104,490 - $118,450. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
