Job Description
The FP&A Business Partner will be an influencer within the organization. Interacting with all levels of the organization, you will provide guidance through your ability to narrate financial predictions using past and present information. As a key contributor, the Business Partner will be expected to challenge, lead through influence, and help transform insights into action throughout the org.

This role will report to the Corporate Controller and will support a cross-functional client group aligned to a key product category. This role will work in partnership with our new product development teams.
Partnership Expectations
Advise and support the business in areas related to future state financial performance including:
  • Improving the quality of internal and external financial data to drive business decision making and performance
  • Finance consulting and coaching (e.g., interpreting financial results and measures in the context of business operations)
  • Providing forward looking financial insight on market conditions, competitors, and alternative business scenarios
Core Responsibilities
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to top executives; preparing financial reports that may include auditor and financial analyst reports, profit and loss, balance sheets, and regulatory reports and filings
  • Analysis of internal financial information (e.g., profit loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc.)
  • Development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems; analysis and interpretation of trends for executive leaders; and preparation of findings and specific recommendations to senior leadership team
  • Providing expertise and advice to managers to help them develop budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses on strategic projects
  • Conduct monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual business plan preparation
  • Financial modeling to measure and forecast potential impacts of financial transactions and corporate development activities
  • Analysis of external economic conditions and their impact on business operations (e.g., inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, etc.)
  • Focuses on short and long-term financial planning and analysis of business operations to measuring and forecasting future business performance including:
  • Develops complex forecasting models, budgets, resource allocation and plans for projects
  • Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of internal operations to develop forward-looking focus
  • Analyze operating results and monthly forecast and provide management with a clear understanding of the company’s financial performance and key business drivers including analyzing results by channel, customer, and product line.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Advanced Excel/VBA skills preferred
  • Including 5 years of progressive work experience in the manufacturing sector
  • Minimum of 8 years of financial analysis experience
  • Project Management experience and strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel (15%+ of time)
  • Experience with JDE, Hyperion Financial Management, Stratum and data mining
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration (or a related field)
