The Opportunity

This position will be responsible for formulating nutrient premix based on customers’ request. Assuring regulatory compliance, fit customer applications, shelf life, process and stability. Will participate in ingredient evaluation and provide internal blending instructions when needed. Follow thru with technically sound resolutions. This is a contract position. Estimated project length is 6 months and will be evaluated at that time to determine if an extension is needed.

• Support the research and development of new ingredients, blends, processes, and finished products
• Assist and communicate with Technical Services group, QA/QC, Procurement and Marketing.
• Other R & D responsibilities as needed
• Troubleshoot application questions
• Research ingredients and applications
• Stays current with food fortification market trends and apply knowledge to product / prototype development.
• Communication with customers technical personal and sales
• Responsible for staying abreast of new and innovative products and industry needs.
• Develop formulas and quotations based on customers’ requirements
• Ensure ingredient compliance to customer’s specifications
• Writes product specification sheets and other related documents.

The Skills you will bring to the team

• Bachelor of Science degree, Masters preferred
• Understanding of basic tableting equipment and concepts, functions of excipients and basic testing parameters

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in CA. This range may not be applicable to other locations. The annual salary for CA based employees for this role is $65,000 to $109,000.
