$2825.00 - $3959.00. Monthly plus benefits
  • To Qualify: Applicants must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Your New Role – Here are some of the responsibilities for this position.
  • Observe the surrounding area for signs of wildfire, suspicious fire related activity or suspected violations of fire prevention restrictions using visual observation and binoculars.
  • While stationed in the Forest Lookout, will be working with little supervision in high and semi-confined spaces.
  • Collect and report daily weather observations of temperature, relative humidity, storm activity, state of the weather, and precipitation to the dispatch office.
  • Relay and monitor two-way radio communications.

What we are looking for
  • Must be 18 years of age at time of hire.
  • Highly accountable employee with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with reading and interpreting maps.
  • Ability to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
  • Experience analyzing information and evaluating results
  • Experience monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; in-person, over the phone and via two-way radio.
