Job Description

Summary

This person oversees the different functions of the food and beverage areas including banquets, restaurant, and bar at different times within the hotel. Responsibilities will include scheduling and training of staff in all overseen areas, forecasting and maintaining budgets, maintaining service standards, coordinating daily with other departments, interviewing and onboarding or new colleagues, service recovery, supervising team members through their shifts and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. This person may also coordinate special events at the hotel. The Food and Beverage Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful.

The salary range for this position is $64,400 - $86,600. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency Long Beach reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

Qualifications -

  • -Minimum of 2+ years as F&B Management preferred
  • -Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred
  • -Experience working in a union environment preferred
  • Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills, ability to work with flexible work schedule, be a dynamic leader and a mentor to their team members.
