Job Description

Summary

REMOTEposition. - in the following states: AL, AZ, AK, GA, FL, IA, IN, IO, KS, LA, MS, MO, MT, NC, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WY

Position Highlights:

The Financial Assistance Program Administrator is responsible for managing the annual operating budget for the Financial Assistance program as well as forecast any trends that could significantly affect the budget. The position will be responsible for facilitating secondary level review of all financial assistance applications to ensure compliance and advise on situations that fall outside of normal processing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop monthly budget reports and present findings to leadership
  • Functions in an advisory capacity regarding the development, modification, and implementation of policies andprocedures related to the financial assistance process
  • Performs detailed secondary level review for all financial assistance applications to ensure compliance with thecenter's policies and procedures
  • Provides guidance to Financial Counselors on effective ways to decipher tax returns and other financial documentation
  • Reviews escalated financial assistance applications and present outliers to the Financial Assistance committee
  • Other duties as assigned by management


Minimum Requirement:

Experience/Education & Certifications:

  • Experience in an accounting/public tax law finance environment; heavy focus on managing a budget,
  • Master's degree in accounting or finance or related field and a minimum of four (4) years' experience as
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and a minimum of six (6) years' experience as
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field plus a CPA and a minimum of three (3) years'

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Public Tax Law
  • Knowledge of public tax law
  • Strongly prefer experience in the healthcare industry
