The anticipated salary range for this role is between $75,000.00 and $90,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

General Summary

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to help us deliver Financial Planning & Analysis and performance reporting for a new Digital Bank. The ideal candidate will partner with the finance team, and across departments to develop data, reporting, analysis, and product-specific economics. This role will help maintain and improve day-to-day financial and management reporting, budgeting/forecasting, data governance, and support strategic initiatives.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include assisting in developing management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and other ad hoc projects.

Position Specifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Expert-level MS Excel user.
• Progress towards relevant professional certification (CPA, CFA, CMA, etc.).
• A minimum of 2 - 4 years in retail/consumer banking.
• 2 years of Financial Planning & Analysis experience.
• Proficient in Python coding preferred.
• Solid understanding of finance and banking.
