Job Description

As a Financial Modeling analyst/intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling within our organization. You will work closely with the finance and accounting teams to develop and refine financial models that support decision-making, budgeting, and strategic planning. This role will provide you with practical exposure to real-world financial scenarios and enhance your analytical skills in a professional environment. This is M-F ONSITE work in our Jacksonville FL office.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations summarizing financial analysis and modeling outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Learning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and business units, to gather relevant data and insights for modeling purposes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document assumptions, methodologies, and formulas used in financial models to ensure transparency and maintain model integrity.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Contribute to special projects and assignments as assigned, which may involve financial analysis, research, or process improvements.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and share knowledge to support continuous improvement.
  • Interpret and present financial results, trends, and insights to assist in decision-making processes.
  • Assist in building dynamic and accurate financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Collect, organize, and analyze financial data from various sources to support modeling activities.
  • Assist in generating regular financial reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
  • Financial Modeling: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain financial models, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
  • Analyze historical financial data and industry trends to identify key drivers and assumptions for the models.
  • Assist in other finance-related tasks as necessary to support the overall finance function.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess the impact of different variables on financial outcomes.
  • Learn and apply best practices in financial modeling, data analysis, and interpretation under the guidance of experienced professionals.


Qualifications:

  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in working with numerical data and formulas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and insights effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work with complex financial scenarios.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a solid understanding of financial concepts and financial statements.
