The Sales Financial Analyst will work closely with our Sales Leadership team, under the direction of the EVP of Sales in North America. This individual must be highly proficient in Excel and budget analysis and be confident tracking budget versus actuals. Monthly and quarterly budget reviews are expected to be led by the Sales Financial Analyst to ensure we are staying on track of spending, updating forecasts where necessary, and correcting where we need to. As the liaison between Sales and Finance, this individual is expected to work closely with the Finance and Accounting teams to ensure payments are properly documented and paid out in the proper months, accruals are closed out, internal POs are placed within our accounting software, and correctly documented in the budget tracker for the wider Sales Organization.


Responsibilities

  • Partners with Finance team in forecasting, reporting, actual to budget, variance analysis, and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales Leaders and Finance team.
  • Supports EVP North America Sales by assisting in the management & monitoring of sales budgets/forecasts by comparing actual spends vs. accruals and forecasts. Work with wider team members to rectify outstanding accruals.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted practices.
  • Assists with sales reporting and PowerPoint presentation material on a monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc cadence.
  • Create purchase orders for sales expenses, monitor the account coding used for various sales expenses, and keeps the sales expense & budget tracker up to date accordingly.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Team oriented.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in the office daily.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Finance or Accounting experience
  • Experience with data manipulation and entry.
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and tools.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as budgeting and forecasting software like Salesforce.
  • Experience analyzing data and working through budget and forecast processes.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets.
