Description
MVW Partners (“MVWP”) is seeking a Finance Professional (Associate Level) to support the MVW Partners Operationsgroup and its rapidly growing 100+ property development portfolio focused on the retail, office, mixed-use, and multi-family rental sectors.
About the role
The Finance Professional will be responsible for overseeing finance, accounting, property management operations, and acquisitions for a growing portfolio of mixed-use assets, as well as at the corporate level.
Who you are:
MVWP is seeking a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, but disciplined, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Yardi Accounting and Property Management Software, with a high-touch, hands-on tenant relations approach, and will also be very comfortable independently acting as a liaison between MVWP internal stakeholders, tenants, vendors, and prospective tenants.
What you will do:
The Finance Professional prepares, coordinates and compiles the annual Company budgets which includes retail, residential, corporate and development. The incumbent performs a number of recurring analyses on a monthly/quarterly basis. Additionally, he/she provides analytical support to Ownership and Partners on an ad hoc and recurring basis, including but not limited to CAM reconciliations, acquisition models, market analyses, waterfall return structures, and lien and violation compliance reports. The incumbent must have strong knowledge of accounting practices and must acquire knowledge of Company operations, systems, and information flow, including but not limited to Excel, Yardi, Expense Point, and Argus.
Responsibilities:
- Review of partnership waterfall calculations and key financial metrics
- Prepare financial and cash flow forecasts for use with internal stakeholders and external parties which include both one year and ten year models
- Assist with financial operations and corporate financial planning and structure
- Work with corporate accounting on monthly deliverables
- Coordinate, analyze and report financial performance to Leadership
- Compilation and delivery of annual management company budget
- Assist with monthly deliverables for ownership/executive leadership meetings
- Prepare monthly investor reporting packages to be sent to both ownership and third party investment partners.
- Oversee the corporate and asset level budgeting process and work with key stakeholders at each individual asset
- Ad doc analysis for assets, Leadership and Ownership

Requirements:
- Timely submission and booking of annual CAM Reconciliations
- 5+ years; Experience as a real estate financial analyst / accountant / asset manager; Advanced Yardi and Excel and data query skills necessary
- Timely submission of reoccurring operating reports
- Timely and accurate forecasting reports
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
- Accurate and complete budgets submitted to Leadership before end of year
- Requires depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized area and general knowledge of related areas
- High level of confidentiality; attention to detail; strong ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Leads others to solve complex problems; uses analytical thinking, tools and judgment to identify innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's degree required. (Real Estate Finance or Accounting degree preferred)
