Job Description

:

Zhero is seeking a Finance and Business Development Associate to join our new and rapidly growing renewable energy company.

The Finance and Business Development Associate will lead due diligence and financial modelling efforts for the development and acquisition of renewable energy and clean hydrogen and derivatives projects. As an integral part of the US team, the Associate will conduct detailed due diligence of acquisition opportunities, analyze project documents to validate pro forma assumptions, and build financial models to value development and acquisition opportunities. The Associate will coordinate with third-party advisors, interface regularly with counterparties, and present findings to company leadership.

The role requires familiarity with markets and policy frameworks and a strong grasp of technical, financial, and legal concepts relevant in the renewable energy industry.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Undergraduate in business, finance, economics, engineering, or another quantitative field; MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant revenues stream structure and tax equity arrangements would be a plus
  • Knowledge of project development process, US energy markets structures (regulated, deregulated) and policies (federal regulation and incentives)
  • Results-oriented: rolls up sleeves and figures things out
  • Knowledge of corporate finance concepts
  • Driven by excitement and curiosity
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines
  • Minimum of two/three years of experience in renewable energy, investment banking / corporate finance
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and efficiently handle complex situations
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure
