Field Services Engineer (Remote)

At Valmet you'll be part of our Services team and apply your skills and experiences to support the performance of the large-scale papermaking equipment at our customers facilities across North America.

• Provide customer support of control systems and optimization of their functions
• Troubleshooting of programming and software related issues
• Candidates with strong mechanical expertise are encouraged to apply
• Lead and perform on-site repair or preventive maintenance services at customer sites in accordance with contract requirements
• Generate customer-focused, high quality, timely field reports with strong recommendations for improvement

What you'll need:

A two or four-year degree in Engineering, Papermaking Technology, programming, or a related field; three to five years' experience in a technical role within the papermaking industry or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

New College Graduates are encouraged to apply (must have either internship or work experience).

Understanding of PLC programming with knowledge of Rockwell software. Knowledge of papermaking machinery and hydraulic systems a plus, but not required. We're willing to work with and train the right individual for their career at Valmet.
