Job Description

The Field HR Manger is responsible for building strong relationships and consults with Field Staff and Owner/Operators to ensure people strategies and initiatives are aligned with and drive a dedicated, people focused culture. Responsible for implementing key people initiatives across the business units as needed. Plays a lead role in protecting the brand and provides staff HR support. Key Customers include the Field Office Staff, Field Leadership and Owner/Operators.

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with MHQ People Team COE for FO support
  • Assess and identify cultural barriers / issues
  • Provide training and support to Owner/Operators
  • Lead local talent roundtables to determine potential/readiness
  • Support and develop People SME’s
  • Lead and enact the award process for the Field Office
  • Labor Relations Field Office lead
  • Thought-partner to the Operations Officers
  • Educate leaders & Employees on HR programs, initiatives, and tools
  • Support offboarding as needed (e.g., solicit exit feedback - in person interviews, phone calls, surveys)
  • Lead Business Units and people teams
  • Support DE&I teams and initiatives
  • Partner with MHQ People Team COE for Field Office support
  • Identify succession gaps
  • Orchestrate people aspect of Business Unit meetings
  • Develop and support to the Operations Associate People SME’s
  • Support People Brand Standards
  • Advise business on enterprise goals related to people strategy
  • Oversee succession management plan execution and maintenance
  • Create succession focused development plans.
  • Develop local plan to improve results based on employee feedback
  • Monitor / resolve disciplinary incidents (incl corrective actions)
  • Administer and support the selection and on-boarding processes.
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build amicable relationships with Franchisees.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or HR certification required’
  • Uses data to drive decision-making and recommendations
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Effective time management skills
