The pay range listed above reflects the FULL pay range for this position. The expected ENTRY pay range is $18.00 to $21.48 per hour, based on qualifying experience and equity within Maricopa County. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

The Early Education Division is dedicated to ensuring children have the knowledge and skills to be successful in school and life through service delivery to children and families in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being while engaging parents as partners every step of the way. Head Start encompasses Head Start preschool programs, which primarily serve 3 and 4 year old children, and Early Head Start programs for infants, toddlers, and pregnant women.

We Require
  • Two years of case management experience
  • Arizona driver's license, upon hire
  • Medical exam that includes screening for tuberculosis (TB), upon hire
  • A certificate, credential, or Associate’s degree in Social Work, Family Studies, Early Childhood Education, Education, or closely related field
  • Background check and Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, upon hire
Job Contributions
  • Develop a family partnership agreement to identify family goals, strengths, and services needed
  • Initiate and maintain cooperative partnerships with community agencies that provide health, social, employment, and educational services
  • Build collaborative relationships with families to educate parents on available resources and make periodic home visits
  • Maintain confidential records, run reports to track services, and ensure program compliance
  • Facilitate, encourage, and support parent involvement by organizing parent committee meetings and parent training activities
  • Monitor child attendance and contact parents regarding child’s absenteeism or other issues
  • Refer families for services, assists families in accessing services, and monitor services completion
  • Maintain enrollment for all assigned sites during the program year, complete applications for program enrollment, and coordinate termination/drop activities of children
Working Conditions
  • Ability to travel to and from job-related locations during a scheduled workday using a private or County vehicle
  • Must obtain a CPR, first aid, and food handler’s certification within six weeks of hire
  • Work is performed in classrooms located throughout Maricopa County and at parents’ home or employer
