Overview Family Care Specialists are professionals who provide support and assistance to families in need. They work with families to identify and address their needs, provide resources and referrals, and help them develop and implement plans to improve their lives. They may also provide counseling and other services to help families cope with difficult situations. Detailed Job Description Family Care Specialists are responsible for providing support and assistance to families in need. They work with families to identify and address their needs, provide resources and referrals, and help them develop and implement plans to improve their lives. They may also provide counseling and other services to help families cope with difficult situations. They must be able to assess family dynamics, understand the needs of each family member, and develop strategies to address those needs. They must also be able to communicate effectively with families and other professionals. Job Skills Required• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of family dynamics and family systems
• Ability to assess family needs and develop strategies to address them
• Ability to provide counseling and other services to families
• Knowledge of community resources and referrals
• Ability to work with diverse populations
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred
• Licensure or certification in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred
• Experience working with families in need preferred
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
