Job Description
What to Expect

The ideal candidate has experience with facilities operations performing preventavie maintenancne as well as a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and process system operation.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and implement energy and utility conservation measures.
  • Identify quality or safety improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in startup and commissioning of systems and equipment. Engage in obtain training on new systems/equipment as needed.
  • Periodically review PM work orders in I-maint system, remind shift members to complete PM on time.
  • Coordinate and perform hands-on installation, trouble shooting, maintenance, and repairs (including preventive maintenance) as needed.
  • Coordinate and supervise vendors or contractors in performing repairs, maintenance or upgrades of equipment and systems.
  • Responsibilities for installing, operating and maintaining the following systems that include but not limited to: HVAC including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressors, pumps, filters, AHUs, MAHs, VFDs, Ultra-pure water filtering equipment including RO/DI units, UV filtration, Electrical systems: Instrument & Controls (PLC’s), distribution, switchgear, and transformers; wastewater treatment including pumps, filter presses, Water reclaim units, treatment chemicals, chemical and gas distribution systems.
  • Coordinate and maintain spares and consumables for various systems.
What You’ll Bring
  • Detail-oriented, positive attitude, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities.
  • Able to lift up to up to 60 lbs., repetitive at times, work at elevations up to 50 ft.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
  • Vocational/Trade Certification and/or relevant military experience is preferred. Associates degree in engineering or technology is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency operating and troubleshooting facility systems (WWT, RO/DI, Chems, Gases, HVAC, Mechanical, I&C and Electrical Systems).
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and maintaining Instrument & Controls.
  • Experience in safe work practices that includes OSHA & Emergency Response Training, fall protection, 70E and LOTO procedures.
