Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain site training records. Update training matrix whenever new/revised documents and forms have been issued and training has been completed. Review training records for completeness and accuracy of manual entries before filing. Performs audits as needed to support the lab. Create or update work instructions, procedures and forms as needed. This focuses on completing the change request process including approval process. Support management of safety program Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports. Support calibration Program as required. Assist in LEAN and/or other lab improvement projects. Maintain work area according to the 5S methodology. Support administrative needs of Quality Management System (QMS). Support administrative needs of management. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in meetings to enhance departmental communication and efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: HS Diploma or equivalent required 3-5 years optical industry experience Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time Proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools, primarily Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Must be highly organized and be a self- starter. Strong organizational and communication skills a must Strong analytical skills a must Requires flexibility to perform a variety of tasks as required Requires effective problem solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment. Have the ability to focus for long periods of time Have an eye for attention to detail and symmetry Patience to fully see the task through is a must Honest, dependable and be able to follow directions either written or verbal Ability to communicate with other associates in a clear, concise manner Professional demeanor Be perceived as a role model JOB CONDITIONS/COMPLEXITY: May have exposure to noise and flammable solvents. Must wear applicable protective safety equipment. Some overtime may be required. Works on assignments that are routine and semi-routine but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from standard procedures and processes.
