Job Summary
We are seeking a MIG Fabricator I who can join, fabricate, and repair steel parts using specialized gas metal arc welding techniques and equipment.
Job Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate welding techniques to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
• Follow all the safety requirements and protocols and maintain compliance.
• Prepare materials and set up for a welding device or robot.
• Examine completed welds to identify structural soundness.
• Complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty if required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Follow established processes and rules to support the safety and quality programs.

Qualifications And Skills

• Convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
• Read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Speak, write and comprehend conversational English.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Pass a MIG welder certification.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
• Operate forklift and cranes.
• Relevant apprenticeship, experience, or vocational training, preferred.
• Set up and operate one or more processing machines.
• Provide high-quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
• Use hand tools such as hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, and bander.
• Convert metric to English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
