Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, LLC seeks an Executive Director, Wealth Management Field in New York, New York

Create and deliver the Practice Management Strategy across the New York Metro region. Create and deliver programs that focus on practice management strategies that enhance growth, client engagement and client retention. Responsible for team best practices, including team formation, the mechanics of teaming, succession planning and the Former Advisor Program, exception handling and compensation issues. Deliver coaching summits across the region to help managers identify external coaches for their advisory teams. Present and participate in regional and national programs. Adopt strategic technologies and tools at the region and branch-level. Analyze teaming and partnering metrics. Coach Advisory Teams through team consultation engagement. Develop and maintain relationships with Financial Advisors and Senior Executives across the organization.

Salary: Expected base pay rate for the role will be $249,000 to $249,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field of study and seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or seven (7) years of experience as a Senior Practice Management Consultant, Vice President, or related occupation in the wealth management field. The employer will accept a 3 or 4-year Bachelor’s degree. Requires: Professional Certified Coach certification; Practitioner in Life Coaching certification; Kolbe Consultant certification; Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Practitioner certification; and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner certification.
