Job Description
HIRING: EXCAVATION FOREMAN
Layton Services is an excavation company that has been family-owned & operated for 30+ years. We specialize in site work (mass excavation, building pads, sub-grade prep) and underground utilities (water, sanitary, storm). We are located in Newark with majority of our work in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Typical range is $30/hr - $40/hr.*
Summary of Position: Supervises and coordinates daily job site operations. Responsibilities include safety, production, job costs, labor, and some operating. This person must be self-motivated, committed to safety, possess leadership skills, and be able to immediately lead an excavation crew to success!
Education And/or Experience
  • Trenching and excavating certificate (can obtain once hired)
  • 3+ years industry related (construction/site work) experience
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Basic computer knowledge including email
  • Ability to relate well to others including a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Preferred High School Diploma
  • Preferred HeavyJob software experience
  • 30 hour OSHA certificate in construction (can obtain once hired)
