The Event Operations Manager facilitates private events of all kinds booked by the Events Department for a specific location. Working closely with the Venue General Manager, Food and Beverage Manager and Entertainment Manager, this role is responsible for the training, scheduling and testing of all Event Supervisors present at the venue. Ensuring the highest quality experience, executing the predetermined Banquet Event Order, adjusting to guests’ needs in the moment and exceeding the expectations of all event guests are all top priorities for the position. In addition to regular communication of upcoming event needs to the local team, this role will also ensure that the private spaces, event equipment inventory and signage are well maintained. Feedback for process improvement or offerings on a monthly basis is also essential.

Responsibilities Of This Position Will Include
  • Support other venue departments and initiatives, as needed
  • Presents as the face of the Events team to each private event guest
  • Provide regular process/product improvement proposals to Events Department
  • Provide regular feedback to Event Supervisors
  • Provide venue-level expertise and problem solving for leadership and guests
  • Work with HR, Operations and local venue team on regular team-building activities for employees
  • Ensure communication between the Event Department (Sales/Director) and local venue team is seamless. See problems before they arise and present solutions.
  • Responsible for the training, testing and scheduling of all Event Supervisors to ensure operational coverage for all events
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • Ensure close-out process is completed in a timely manner
  • Event recaps collected from the Event Supervisors and sent to Sales Managers and Dir of Events
  • On-site for important and major events (as determined by local Venue GM/Dir of Events)
  • Maintain updated venue room diagrams, seating charts, capacity levels
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat, pro-active attitude and inspire the same in fellow team members
  • Provide support for Events Sales team at the Support Center
