Job Description

We are looking for an Event Manager to oversee and organize events that will make an impact on a target audience. You’ll ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints. An event manager is, above all, a project manager who understands marketing and promotion techniques. An enthusiastic candidate with fresh ideas and organizational skills is required to prevent leaving any components of an event to chance. Responsibilities

  • Developing strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
  • Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
  • Set-up and tear down events
  • Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
  • Assisting in the daily growth and development of our company
  • Lead promotional activities for events
  • Manage inventory, events, and sales paperwork
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
  • Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports
  • Approve all aspects before the day of the event
  • Supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.)
  • Face-to-face sales and events of services to new business prospects
  • Drive sales and process customer orders for events
  • Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
  • Prepare materials for events (sales materials, giveaways, marketing materials, etc.)
  • Coordinate all operations

  • BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred

  • Non-Profit Experience a Plus
  • Must have access to Cell Phone
  • Meticulously organized and attentive to details
  • Proven experience as event manager
  • Skilled in project management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other applications is preferred
  • A team player with leadership skills
  • Professional, both in appearance and demeanor
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office
  • Committed to pursuing perfection
  • Able to be constantly on their feet for 8+ hours at a time on event days
  • Proven Sales Record
  • A great attitude, work ethic, and student mentality
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Sense of urgency and ability to work under strict deadline
  • Must be able to work during the week & Friday, Saturday and some Sundays
