Evening Cashier Jobs

Looking to fill multiple evening shifts from 1 pm - 9:30 pm everyday of the week. A Cashier's primary role is to assist customers in the in-store check-out process. Main cashier duties and responsibilities include ringing up sales, bagging items, requesting price checks, collecting payment, and giving appropriate change. Works under immediate supervision of supervisor or manager and must rely on instructions in a fast-paced environment. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Abides by pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives.

Responsibilities

-Scans goods and collects payments

-Handles cash, credit, or check transactions with customers

-Redeem coupons

-Makes sales referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new ones

-Bags items carefully

-Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas

-Answer customers' questions and get a manager if answer doesn't solve the issue

-Participate in fundraisers

-Face and clean areas around check stands

-Answer phone calls

-Issue change and receipts
