Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Environmental Health and Safety Project Manager supporting the Northeast region. This position can work 100% remotely, with the exception of client visits; however, must be physically located in the Northeast region.

Responsibilities:


  • Training presentation development and delivery
  • Interpret and apply EHS regulations
  • Conduct client training
  • Perform regulatory applicability evaluations
  • Assist with evaluating EHS regulatory compliance of facilities
  • Collect information from regulatory agencies when requested
  • Mentor junior-level staff
  • Proposal writing
  • Independently manage a diverse set of projects
  • Oversee on-site support for client operations in industrial and educational campus settings, including monitoring programs associated with environmental regulatory compliance, OSHA, and other applicable site-specific safety plan compliance
  • Development and review of local, state, and federal EHS client reporting
  • Interact and communicate directly with clients on project and proposal development efforts
  • Develop, implement, promote, and improve EHS programs and plans for clients


Qualifications:


  • Travel up to 15% to client sites
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPPER certification, preferred
  • 8 plus, years of environmental health and safety consulting experience; 1 year of project management and client management experience
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and environmental reporting software
  • Must have a personal vehicle for independent transportation to work sites when required
  • Knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulations (Stormwater, Wastewater, Air, EPCRA, RCRA, etc.)
  • Experience developing EHS written programs (e.g., SPCC, SWPPP, OSHA, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field
  • Proficient with EHS reporting (e.g., Tier II, TRI/Tura, Neshap, Aair source registration/air emission statements, stormwater discharge, hazardous waste, etc.)
