Parsons is now hiring a Entry Level Utility Coordinator to join our world class team in our East Central Region , with a primary focus on projects in Indiana, then Ohio and Kentucky .

A day in the life of a Utility Coordinator may have you digging into plans or in the field monitoring construction. A day may include dozens of phone calls, emails, and meetings. A day may include discussing the intricacies of utility locations and utility attributes to assist your team in understanding impacts to existing utilities created by the proposed design. You may be discussing the acquisition of right of way for a necessary relocation of a utility. Or you may be hosting/leading meetings to discuss utility reimbursements, agreements, and invoices. With an attitude of teamwork and collaboration, our new Utility Coordinator will work closely with roadway, drainage, structural, traffic, and environmental teams to deliver on infrastructure projects in Indiana and around the region. Being a Utility Coordinator at Parsons means you have an opportunity to work closely in a team environment to learn, interact, and contribute to delivering our incredible projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with other to identify untility impacts and utility related needs to deliver projects.
  • Maintain database of utility correspondence
  • May also perform Railroad coordination
  • Develop scopes of work for SUE investigations
  • Review utility relocation cost estimates and agreements
  • Interact with CAD to incorporate and depict utility information
  • Review utility work plans for compliance and recommend for approval
  • Review and interact with design plans and prepare utility conflict analysis
  • Inform design team of critical information to avoid or minimize design impacts to existing utility infrastructure
  • Collect utility data from appropriate sources,

What Required Skills/Qualifications You Bring:

  • Willingness to work hard and contribute to our team long term.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on projects internally and externally, interface with clients, utilities, and other project stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships.
  • INDOT Certified Utility Coordinator or ability to obtain certification
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills

What Desired Skills/Qualifications You Bring:

  • Experience coordinating with utilities, utility design, DOT projects preferred
  • Experience/proficiency in utilizing MicroStation CAD, and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is desired
  • Demonstrated aptitude in construction, engineering or industry related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience preferred

Salary Range:

$24.18 - $42.31
