Parsons is now hiring a Utility Coordinator to join our world class team in our East Central Region , with a primary focus on projects in Indiana, then Ohio and Kentucky .

With an attitude of teamwork and collaboration, our new Utility Coordinator will work closely with roadway, drainage, structural, traffic, and environmental teams to deliver on infrastructure projects in Indiana and around the region. Our staff is well versed in both traditional and design-build projects and continue to win many projects as we continue to be one of INDOT’s most trusted partners.

Being a Utility Coordinator at Parsons means you have an opportunity to work closely in a team environment to learn, interact, and contribute to delivering our incredible projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and interact with design plans and prepare utility conflict analysis
  • Review utility work plans for compliance and recommend for approval
  • Coordinate with the project team to ensure high quality, timely coordination of existing and proposed utility needs
  • Collect utility data from appropriate sources,
  • Interact with CAD to incorporate and depict utility information
  • Inform design team of critical information to avoid or minimize design impacts to existing utility infrastructure
  • Maintain database of utility correspondence
  • Work closely with Project Managers and designers to evaluate utility coordination needs on a project
  • Review utility relocation cost estimates and agreements
  • May assist in development of schedule, scope, fee estimates, and technical provisions
  • May also perform Railroad coordination
  • Develop scopes of work for SUE investigations

What Required Skills/Qualifications You Bring:

  • Willingness to work hard and contribute to our team long term required
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on projects internally and externally, interface with clients, utilities, and other project stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills required

What Desired Skills/Qualifications You Bring:

  • Experience/proficiency in utilizing MicroStation CAD, and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is desired
  • Experience coordinating with utilities, utility design, DOT projects preferred
  • 4-year degree in engineering or industry related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience preferred
  • INDOT Certified Utility Coordinator or ability to obtain certification preferred

Salary Range:

$32.88 - $57.55
