Entry Level It Support

FirstPro is now seeking an entry-level IT Technician. This is a hybrid role with 2 days on-site in the Stoughton, MA office and some travel to other sites.

Essential Functions

• Assists and provides backup to System Administrators and Network Administrator
• Maintains a log of completed work using an incident-tracking application.
• Performs diagnostic tests, and modifies or repairs hardware to the board or component level.
• Provides remote support for offsite users.
• Establishes and maintains a parts inventory for personal computers, as well as other supplies and computer center-related materials.
• Troubleshoots network performance issues.
• Installs, tests, and maintains a variety of personal computing, network hardware, and software systems on local area network and wide area network connections.
• Works with users to evaluate and solve technical issues, by phone or onsite.
• Evaluates existing systems and/or user needs to analyze, design, recommend, and implement system changes.

Requirements

• 2+ years of IT support experience in a user-oriented environment.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of a wide variety of personal computing equipment, computer software applications, and networking equipment, experience with TCPIP, DNS, and Active Directory.
