Understanding of the Backend and Frontend Architectures needed to support the experience at scale

Cloud, Integration and Secure App Development is core

Any Framework, standards, mentorship, lead and Governance experience

Strong experience in DevOPs pipelines in support of continuous delivery for product teams

Summary

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for the architecture of large projects, which includes the approval of all design deliverables for the project. This role requires extensive experience in architecting and deploying distributed, high volume, mission critical business applications.

Essential Functions

Develops, maintains, and communicates processes and standard practices related to the design, development, and implementation of application solutions and patterns

Fosters and encourages solution reuse within Business Units and at the Enterprise level

Facilitates and enables the integration of applications and business processes using common methods in managing several large projects

Develops and maintains conceptual, logical, and physical application architecture, in the research and development, planning, deployment, and training of application technologies, and the retirement of obsolete applications

Provides leadership in the logical and physical design of application systems, and ensures design is consistent and well integrated with existing conceptual, logical, and physical application architectures

Analyzes and estimates feasibility, costs, time, and resources needed to develop, and implement application systems for several large projects

Researches and evaluates software technology, products, solutions and makes recommendations on technology/production introduction, phase out and retirement

Develop and maintain the high-level design plan for the overall logical and technical IT architecture

Develop practical business solutions, promote consensus and communicate and execute those solutions

Provide direction, guidance and definition for enterprise architectures to effectively support the corporate business strategy and develop test methodologies and criteria

Additional Responsibilities

Assists in application portfolio management, standards development, maintenance and governance

Researches, analyzes, designs, proposal and delivery of appropriate solutions for the business and IT

Proactively collaborates across multiple business areas as a visionary to assist and provide direction for future projects

Assists in solving complex technical problems

Researches emerging technology to develop business solutions that align with enterprise-wide solutionsGain organizational commitment for all high-level infrastructure plans and initiates/participates in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans

Provide first-level review of vulnerability assessments

Conducts risk and gap analysis

Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Articulating/communicating information & ideas to varying audiences and I multiple written styles (persuasive, informative, narrative) in order to negotiate/gain access to information and records

Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment

Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills

Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Ability to develop and clearly and effectively communicate sound business cases to executives

Ability to lead all aspects of developing the architecture, architecture process, frameworks and best practices

Able to oversee the technology integration function to ensure technical alignment across business applications, data management, server, storage and network platform environments

Able to provide guidance to the IT support teams as well as providing support to projects requiring the integration of technology solutions

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Information Technology, Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent work experience

Master's degree preferred IT or related field

Ten (10) years or more of relevant IT experience required

Ten (10) years or more proven experience in diagnosing, isolating/resolving complex issues, recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems required

Ten (10) years or more strong experience with systems integration processes, methodology and tools required

Ten (10) years or more proven experience consulting to identify and articulate needs, determine project scoping, creating a plan and estimating project costs, effort and duration required

Eight (8) years or more experience with SDLC/SW development processes (RUP, Agile and Waterfall) required

Eight (8) years or more experience using analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions required

Eight (8) years or more experience working with enterprise architecture standards, processes & tolls including IT Architecture standards, Technology trends required

Relevant technical certification
