About LoMastro Performing Arts Academy:
LoMastro Performing Arts Academy, founded in 2007, has grown to become the North Shore's leading performing arts academy and serves as the flagship studio for the Dance Mastery Institute. Our faculty is comprised of some of Chicago’s best teaching artists who follow a comprehensive curriculum delivered within our state-of-the-art facility that includes six dedicated classrooms. Here, we foster a love and appreciation for the performing arts while also building self-confidence, self-discipline, and a positive self-image in our students. We're seeking a proactive, highly organized, and team-oriented individual with a positive outlook and the ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations, to join our vibrant performing arts studio as an Enrollment and Office Manager. Once fully trained, the Enrollment and Office Manager will be expected to work independently, managing and executing tasks proactively with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will take ownership of their role and responsibilities, addressing challenges and finding solutions autonomously.
This is a dynamic position that offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing our studio's operations and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our students, parents, and staff. Your role will have a meaningful impact, not only in managing the studio's operations but also in contributing to the personal growth of our students and shaping the community through the performing arts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: You will serve as the face of our studio, creating a welcoming environment and exceeding our clients' expectations.
- Enrollment Management: You will manage the enrollment process for approximately 600 students annually, explaining to parents the journey through our diverse classes.
- Boutique Operations: Oversee our boutique's daily operations, including inventory management and customer service.
- Employee Management: Maintain employee work schedules, manage coverage for absences, and train all reception/boutique staff.
- Costume Coordination: Handle the selection, ordering, and distribution of costumes for performances.
- Communication: Regular communication with the Directors and the Owner is a key part of your role.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred. A background in education is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Must love children and be passionate about building and maintaining community with our students and their parents.
- Must enjoy the hustle and bustle associated with live performances and have the ability to stay calm during hectic situations.
- Experience in managing teams, including training and scheduling, is a plus.
- Experience with Client Relationship Management software; Studio Hub and Studio Director, as well as Asana, and Google Drive is a plus.
- Understanding and passion for the arts, especially dance, is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move costumes and front-of-house equipment (up to 20 lbs) to and from the theater, and stock dancewear in the Boutique.
Work Hours:
Full time, Monday-Friday 9-5.
Participation in 4 weekend shows per year: Holiday Showcase/Nutcracker (alternating years), Spring Recitals in May/June, and Summer Showcase in July.
We value work-life balance and do not expect work outside of work hours.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary for the Enrollment and Studio Office Manager position ranges from $58,000 to $67,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Comprehensive benefits package includes four weeks of paid time off, medical insurance, and retirement benefits.
