Are you an experienced Engineering Manager looking to make a significant impact? Breef, the world's first agency marketplace, is seeking a talented individual to lead technical innovation and manage our hybrid/in-house engineering team. As our Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for establishing and ensuring the sustained success of Breef's technical foundation. Collaborating closely with our product team, you'll implement our product roadmap, refine Agile engineering processes, and build and develop an exceptional team of engineers. Your technical expertise and leadership will drive best practices and innovation, setting new standards in the industry.

What you'll do:

✅ Manage and grow the Breef engineering team, working with our recruiting team to hire top talent

✅ Lead a team of entrepreneurial engineers to develop web-based systems crucial to the Breef platform

✅ Dive deep into our code, contributing hands-on to Python on the backend and React on the frontend as needed

✅ Collaborate with our external development team, guiding sprint planning and execution

✅ Architect and deliver high-value features and product offerings to drive growth and maintain Breef's competitive edge

✅ Partner closely with stakeholders across Breef, including Design, Product, Operations, and Leadership

✅ Remove roadblocks, prioritize requests, and ensure the health and integrity of our engineering org

✅ Advise leadership on key technical decisions and act as a translator between technical third parties and Breef

What we're looking for:

🚀 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer (Python & React)

🚀 2+ years as an engineering manager, leading and hiring engineering teams

🚀 Experience managing a team of 3+ direct reports

🚀 A balance of engineering leadership and hands-on contribution

🚀 Strong ownership of software development life cycles and technical project delivery

🚀 Proficiency in Agile development methodologies

🚀 General understanding of the marketing and agency space

🚀 Prior experience in marketplace or fintech/payments is a plus

🚀 Bonus: DevOps experience
