Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides Employee Relations advice, support, guidance and policy interpretation to managers and team members, at every level within the organization. Possesses the highest levels of confidentiality and embodies the company's Code of Conduct. Responsible for managing assigned cases inclusive of investigations, climate checks, formal complaints, Ethics Hotline reports, Compliance, Team Member Guide, and Affirmative Action Administration.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports the HR Management team in executing and monitoring ER strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively manage priorities
  • Maintains ER reports, logs and files.
  • Anticipate, identify and respond to issues that indicated an unhealthy work environment, work in partnership with HR Management and HRBP team.
  • Leverages specialized knowledge to support the ER function.
  • Advise, assist and counsel leaders in identifying and resolving employee matters, partners with all levels of management to resolve conflict.
  • Assist with the delivery of education to management and staff to promote positive relations.
  • Provides HR Recommendations for objective resolution.
  • Assist HR Management in the development of ER policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates ADA request and the interactive process.
  • Provides purposeful and prompt follow up on ER related issues.
  • Serves as Employee Relations subject matter expert.
  • Maintain accurate, and required documentation of case management system.
  • Assist with coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions.
  • Performs all related due diligence events for assigned cases.
  • Responsible for providing documentation and HR support to legal department for EEO and Ethics Hotline complaints.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
  • Partners with other internal divisions such as Audit, Security and Legal.
  • Interprets, advises and answers questions related to HR policies, practices and procedures.
  • Exercises sound judgement by balancing employee advocacy while minimizing risk to the organization.
  • Represents the ER function in a variety of business meetings that may include ER interviews, exit surveys, separation meetings and investigations.
  • Manages specific customer complaints of discriminations, mistreatment, harassment and deceptive sales practices.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Advise, assist and counsel all team members in ER related concerns.

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum Experience:
  • Five (5) years relevant HR experience
Certification(s):
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of and exposure to all facets of HR, including talent management, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, organizational effectiveness and diversity
  • Strong presentation skills with experience reporting to officers and executive management
  • Excellent knowledge of federal and states laws governing Human Resources
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • 5 years Employee Relations Experience - Conducting Investigations and HR Compliance
  • Experience providing supervision or oversight to other ER profile
  • Knowledge or experience utilizing ADP HR system
  • Experience resolving complex issues and exercising independent judgement
  • Experience in the financial services industry, preferably banking
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
