Summary

Performs a variety of specialized, complex activities in the coordination of HR for a large department.
Strong emphasis on proactive problem resolution and departmental communications.

Reporting to the Manager of Employee and Labor Relations, the Coordinator of Employee and Labor Relations is accountable for assisting the Manager with Doctors Medical Center’s employee and labor relations’ activity. Ensures understanding and interpretation of policies, procedures, and programs to enhance management/staff relations. Functions as a resource and advisor to management on employee and labor relations matters. Listens to employee concerns and informs management of issues or concerns. Tracks and trends employee concerns and develops action plans to address them. Meets with managers and employees, investigating issues and recommending solutions. Communicates regularly with other members of the HR Department, which may impact, or be impacted by, various employee issues. Accountable for assisting Manager with Doctors Medical Center labor relations’ activity for all Collective Bargaining Agreements. Works with all levels of management to assure the consistent application of Collective Bargaining Agreements.

  • Plan, coordinate and participate in HR related programs
  • Serve as primary contact for routine HR related inquiries
  • Investigate, document and resolve HR problems
Qualifications

Minimum Education: Associate Degree or equivalent majoring in Business. Bachelor of Science degree and Human Resources Certification preferred.

Minimum Experience/Skills: 3-5 years experience in Human Resources. Experience in a union environment preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

License/Certificates/Credentials: Valid CA driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.

Pay Range: $35.32 - $40.86

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
