Job Description
We Are Hiring:
  • Department: Emergency Medical Services
  • Location: 460 Metroplex Dr. Nashville
  • Hospital: Saint Thomas Emergency Medical Services
  • Schedule: Rotating (PRN)

What You Will Do:
Provide support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
  • Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determine the situation, and develop a plan of action.
  • Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.
  • Monitor patient condition and perform data collection. Communicate findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehend the severity of the injury.
What You Will Need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Advanced Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Emergency Medical Services Division obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. or Emergency Medical Tech-Basic (EMT-B).
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
