Outpatient Technician - Er (Veterinary)

Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is a thriving specialty and emergency practice established in 2010, with specialties including Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Exotics and Surgery. We are seeking experienced veterinary technicians to join our emergency and specialty teams. The Inpatient ER team at Pieper Veterinary is a dynamic and cohesive group of skilled Technicians and Assistants.

The Outpatient Technician should have a dedicated focus to provide more one-on-one care for the patients in need of emergent care. This position gives you the opportunity to perform all the skills you learn as a technician, as well as new and advanced skills. Technicians at Pieper can expect to grow with the hospital. As we keep up to date on the most innovative medicine, so will you. Provide the highest level of nursing care and know that you made a difference in all the pets lives you worked with.

Pay: $20 - $35 / hour depending on level of experience, education, and certification/licensing. Shift differentials available depending on the shift.

• This position does require availability for weekend rotations.

A significant portion of this role revolves around:

• Assisting doctors in procedures including physical examinations, diagnostics and euthanasia
• Providing care to any hospitalized patient ranging from basic to intensive
• Maintaining communication with your team
• Monitoring vitals
• Medicating

The must-have skills:

• IV Catheter placement
• Bonus points for CPR!
• Basic medical math
• Venipuncture
• Full proficiency in anesthesia monitoring from induction to recovery
