Email Marketing Manager
This role will be responsible for all aspects of email strategy and delivery, platform management, audience segmentation and campaign performance, including:
- Champion continuous advancement of our email features and capabilities including targeting, personalization, and template development in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Owns the email lifecycle strategy and creates the roadmap and journey for future email marketing including but not limited to identifying target audiences, developing programs and workflow automations to nurture through each stage of the buying process from prospect to existing customers
- Drive both inbound and outbound marketing efforts by leveraging technology to help marketing and sales teams work smarter and more efficiently together
- Monitor email marketing metrics and optimize programs to improve email metrics and drive revenue
- Develop acquisition, retention, and reactivation programs to build loyalty, monetize existing customers to increase AOF, AOV and ultimately CLV
- Lead the strategy, development and execution of customer acquisition, retention, and email nurture campaigns
- Create, manage, and execute best-in-class email campaigns that drive sales pipeline and enhance brand awareness
- Manage external partners for program and platform performance

About the role
The Email Marketing Manager will develop the strategy and business objectives, oversee budget, planning, development, implementation, testing, and continuous optimization to meet specific KPIs. As part of the Performance Marketing leadership team, this role will manage priorities and expectations, as well as determine the advanced email marketing platforms, tools, techniques, and best practices to deliver an integrated email marketing strategy that is focused on acquiring and retaining customers. The role will be responsible for leading a successful email marketing team, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, and developing programs to meet business goals.
What we’re looking for
Essential
- B.S or B.A. degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of managing a high-performance email marketing team Intermediate understanding of HTML/CSS Strong analytical skills, understanding of A/B testing, and ability to interpret and analyze data from multiple sources and act accordingly
- 3+ years of experience with web analytics platforms, preferably Google Analytics
- 4+ years of experience working in a high transaction ecommerce environment, with preference for candidates who have worked in distribution
- 5+ years of email marketing experience, marketing automation a plus
- Some experience with data manipulation and warehousing tools such as SQL is a big plus
Desirable:
- In depth, hands-on experience working with email marketing platforms such as Hubspot, Adobe Campaign, Marketing Cloud, Eloqua or similar
- Strong commercial awareness, ability to manage vendors effectively and interpret financial data
- Experience in web analytics platforms, such as Google Analytics, as well as additional tools available to help manage and monitor email campaigns
- Detailed understanding of key metrics for monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of email marketing campaigns
- Expert level in email best practices, including segmentation, deliverability, dynamic copy and design approaches, CAN-SPAM, CASL and list health
