Job Summary
Provide reading and math support to students on the verge of making grade-level progress but who need extra support with classroom subject matter. These Tier 2 students will receive intervention based on their American Reading Company ( ACR ) power goals and Bridges math in the classroom. ARC and Bridges are the curricula the district utilizes in the classroom.
  • Standards to target for instruction provided by school’s grade-level teams
  • English Language Arts ( ELA ) or Math groups for each grade level
  • Provide instruction to small groups in classrooms under the direction of the teacher
  • Tier two students identified ( ARC power goals or Bridges math skills)
Required Qualification
Technical
  • Proficient computer skills, including Google Apps
Interpersonal
  • Handle confidential information professionally
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise sound judgment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to take the initiative, work independently, meet deadlines, follow complex directions, and adapt to changing demands, activities, and workloads
  • Ability to take direction and implement procedures
  • Evidence of dependability, integrity, and a strong work ethic

Monday-Friday, regular school hours of operation. This position will be located in a North Chicago District 187 K-5 school.
