Job Description
Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to in struct and supervise a diverse group of children by establishing a positive, respectful learning environment, providing ample and varied learning opportunities and promoting high standards of performance for all students regardless of their background and developmental levels.
FTE: 1.0
FLSA Status: Licensed - Professional
Contract Status: Regular/Probationary
Start Date: 2023/2024 School Year August 29th, 2023
Calendar: 191 Work Days
Salary: $45,131 to $86,621 with benefits (This salary is based on the 2022-2023 salary agreement and is subject to change upon the 2023-2024 Salary agreement approval)
Retirement Contribution: Corvallis School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP) on behalf of its employees. Upon eligibility, the district contributes 6% of an employee’s salary to their Individual Account Program (IAP). Eligibility is defined as working at least six full calendar months in a qualifying position. Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours in a calendar year will qualify.
Note: Pool is scheduled to be open until April 19, 2023 with earliest possible review being April 28th, 2023. This posting will be closed May 19th, 2023 unless all position are not filled.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Required to provide Proof of Covid -19 Vacccination
  • Familiarity with a variety of age appropriate instructional, assessment and behavior management strategies that reflect current research on best practices.
  • Understanding of human growth and development patterns, learning theory and brain research.
  • Familiarity with state standards and curriculum frameworks for elementary grade levels.

  • Content knowledge in subject areas taught.
  • Valid Oregon teacher’s license with appropriate endorsement and grade level authorization. Must be highly qualified or able to become highly qualified in area assigned according to NCLB laws.
  • Job duties include family engagement coordination.
