Job Description

        POSITION DESCRIPTION

        Role and Responsibilities


        This employee must demonstrate core skills, which include understanding company safety policies, adherence to the SGC Principles of Conduct and Action guidelines, as well as the five SGC Attitudes. Also 5-S requirements, sustaining the process and general housekeeping are required. This employee must understand the statistical process control (SPC), have knowledge of product line and manufacturing standards, follow verbal and written instructions. The normal operating duties are listed below and can change depending on unforeseen circumstances or are assigned by supervision for the success of the operation.

        • Fully understand the Plant Hot Oil System and its critical components (Isolation, Shut Off valves, filling the system, etc.)
        • Licensed to drive a forklift, also preferred knowledge to operate scissor lift, man lift and bobcat
        • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot blown fuses, photo eyes, relays, breakers, etc.
        • Must understand basic computer skills and demonstrate the ability to utilize SAP through the Work Order System
        • Demonstrate and understand a stop/start circuit and NO/NC
        • Must be able to start up the Hot Oil Heater according to the Standard Operating Procedure
        • Demonstrate the understanding of control voltage and Remote I/O
        • Perform administrative duties when necessary
        • Demonstrate the ability to safely troubleshoot and/or reset the plant drives and servo panels
        • Have the ability to install various types of lighting
        • Must be able to perform the Maintenance task of Start-up and Shut-down of “Line 1” according to the Standard Operating Procedure
        • Must be able to work 8 to 12 hours on his/her feet, lift 50 lbs. on a repeated basis over a normal workday, and climb ladders safely
        • Demonstrate proficiency and safety in the operation of electrical test equipment (MMM and Amp Meters)
        • Possess the ability to replace a 3 phase AC motor verifying correct rotation without Supervision
        • Demonstrate the ability to utilize math in fraction, decimals and know the metric measuring system
        • Understand and follow proper LOTO procedures. Use proper LOTO Try Out when working on equipment outside of the normal routine
        • Able to work independent or with a team.
        • Demonstrate the ability to safety restart The Front End and Back End line drives
        • Maintain 5S of work area and equipment.
        • Demonstrate a full understanding of the Plant Granule Distribution System (from the Granule Unload to the Certa-Blender and its critical components)
        • Must understand Arc Flash and the theory associated with it
        • Demonstrate the ability to install varying voltage of transformers
        • Fill in for absent or vacationing employee in the same roll
        • Demonstrate the ability to perform basic PLC troubleshooting and create /document JSA’s and one point lessons

        REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

        Qualifications and Education Requirements:

        • Minimum education High School Diploma/ GED or have military school training in electrical systems and or technology Journeyman electrical license is a plus, but not required
        • Minimum 4 years working with electrical systems & wiring required
        • Specific demonstrated knowledge, skills, and testing performance indicators are required
        • In order to abide by certain OSHA and local government agency regulations, mandatory safety training, protective gear and chemical handling procedures are required.
