Salary: $5,368 per month (Salary includes Shortage Category Differential)
Shift Work: Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
As a condition of employment with the State of Hawaii, some positions may require that all qualified candidates who have successfully completed and passed the recruitment process, must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination at the time a conditional offer of employment is made. Departments will consider reasonable accommodations if requested by a candidate and it is determined through an interactive process that pregnancy, a qualifying disability, or a sincerely held religious belief prevents the candidate from receiving a COVID-19 vaccination.

To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
Electrician License: A valid State of Hawaii Journey Worker Electrician License, Journey Worker Industrial Electrician License, Supervising Electrician License, or Supervising Industrial Electrician License is required at the time of application.
NOTE: Hawaii does not have reciprocity agreements with other jurisdictions.
Information about obtaining a State of Hawaii Electrician License is available with the State Department of Commerce & Consumer Affairs via: http://cca.hawaii.gov/pvl/boards/electrician/

A valid out-of-state CDL may also be accepted. If you are selected for this position, you must transfer your out-of-state CDL to a Hawaii-issued CDL prior to your employment start date and within 30 days of arriving in Hawaii. Your Hawaii-issued CDL will be verified by the hiring agency before you can start work. Please contact the Honolulu CDL Office at (808) 487-5534 for information on how to obtain a Hawaii CDL.
Note: The Federal Department of Transportation regulations require pre-employment testing for controlled substances. If you are selected for a position, the hiring agency will notify you of when and where to report for testing.
Physical Requirements: Some positions may require lifting and carrying objects of varying weights without assistance or with the assistance of another person and/or the use of equipment (e.g., hoisting equipment, hand truck, etc.) for heavier loads, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Federal Criminal History Records Check: In accordance with Federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the airport, must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check. In order to be granted the Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted, or found "not guilty by reason of insanity," of a disqualifying criminal offense within 10 years from the date of the application. Upon recommendation for hire, prospective employees will be required to successfully undergo the fingerprint-based criminal history record check and be found free of disqualifying convictions during the preceding ten years. The cost for the records check will be the applicant's responsibility.
