Your work environment at EXP

In this role you will be a part of the infrastructure group in the Northeast market. We are an entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary firm of approximately 3,500 professionals across North America with a history of successfully delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects across North America. We are currently looking to grow and enhance our transit, rail control systems, structural, roadway, and tunneling practices and are seeking highly motivated and dynamic engineers.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Responsible for meeting firms engineering quality levels for discipline on assigned projects
• Front-end loads projects and apply best practices to set the proper direction of the project in SDs and DDs
• Mentors and encourages development of staff
• Work with other senior staff within Infrastructure & Transportation and other practices groups, as necessary, to pursue and deliver a variety of projects
• Responsible for applying firms risk management practices of project engineering
• Verifies work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings
• Oversees development of design concepts and ensure proper application and execution
• Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering
• Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions
• Leads the discipline design to produce construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget while minimizing erroneous efforts

What Your Experience Looks Like

• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead diverse project teams with a strong track record of project delivery from both a technical and financial perspective
• Ability to mentor staff
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of work related to delivering projects for with local agencies including MTA and TBTA
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise other engineers, planners and technicians
• Industry participation in professional societies both locally and nationally.
• Prior success in pursuing and delivering projects in local market.
• Licensed PE in the State of New York
• 10+ years of electrical and transit experience
• Ability to travel in both the United States and Canada.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Significant experience preparing proposals and participating in shortlist interviews.
• Strong leadership, project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment

The pay range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
