The role reports to the Director of R&D - Engineer To Order and is located in Greenville, South Carolina. As a Electrical Engineering Co-Op, you will be working directly with electrical and mechanical engineers to support product development and testing of electric motors.

Your responsibilities

• Support development of custom motor product 10-2000 HP for multiple manufacturing locations
• Work in the motor test lab with test technicians
• Support product development testing
• Co-op engineer is expected to complete 3 semesters with ABB at the CUICAR location
• Work closely with senior development engineers to model electric motor designs

Your background

• Good math and science skills
• Strong team skills are required but must also be able to work independently
• Good communication skills to work with other on the engineering team
• Experience with Word, and Excel is a plus
• Sophomore year or higher in electrical engineering education
