Who we are Looking for:
Woodard & Curran prides itself on delivering efficient, effective solutions across various industries and disciplines. The key to our success is mainly dependent on the stellar ability of our industrial, environmental, and operational program management team. We’re currently searching for an experienced environmental program manager to join our ranks and continue our tradition of success. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a sharp business mind and a proven ability to work in a client’s manufacturing setting to strategize and implement high-level environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program initiatives tied to improved operational performance. As a senior leader, you will have a strong talent for problem-solving and strategic planning combined with a skill set of project coordination, team building, and delegation. You will be overseeing and closely collaborating with the existing environmental staff at the client facility and other Woodard & Curran facility program management team members based at the facility and remotely. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimize productivity, implement excellent environmental programs, and nurture program success from inception to completion.

What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:
Responsibilities will include working with a key client at their facility to support their pursuit of improved operational and EHS performance. You will be developing EHS strategies and priorities and leading the implementation of those strategies. As part of their team, you will help to strategize, prioritize, implement, and maintain EHS programs and initiatives that adhere to their organizational objectives. You will work with both the client’s engineering and environmental teams, as well as diverse and dynamic integrated delivery service teams within Woodard & Curran, to develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement, maintain and enhance organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance, oversee multiple projects ensuring program goals are reached while managing budget and funding channels for maximum productivity. The existing environmental team will be your direct reports and you will be responsible for aligning them with EHS strategies and overseeing their work. The position will require a full-time onsite presence.

  • EHS priority strategies that will result in and support operational improvements and outstanding environmental performance
  • Ensure that company project managers and employees understand the client/program philosophy, the overall program, and subsequent projects align with client objectives, and projects are delivered with a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Ensure the client program management and project objectives are appropriately defined, measured, and implemented in a manner that complies with company and client processes and procedures, and meets current federal/state/local regulations
  • An outstanding safety culture that strives for continuous improvement

Daily and Routine Responsibilities
  • Work closely with a client manager, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for EHS management and stakeholders
  • Direct the implementation of EHS strategies through the existing onsite team and other Woodard & Curran resources
  • Implement EHS best practices, technology, systems, programs, and processes
  • Develop and manage the budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
  • Identify critical requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external partners and vendors
  • Regular communication with project stakeholders on EHS priorities and implementation activities
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
What You Will Need To Succeed:
  • Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
  • Proven communication and writing experience
  • Working knowledge of chemical manufacturing operations and previous work in a manufacturing setting
  • 40-hour OSHA training is a plus.
  • 10+ years in an advanced management role (preference given to those with program management experience)
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in environmental, health, and safety, environmental policy, or engineering-related fields, including, environmental, chemical, mechanical, industrial, etc.
  • Exceptional EHS leadership, time management, facilitation, organizational, and innovative planning skills

Compensation
Pay:
This position’s anticipated pay range is provided below; final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect cost of labor differences between geographic markets.
Annual Incentive Bonus Opportunity:
Eligible positions may receive an annual cash bonus based on the role’s organizational level, and is represented as a percentage range of eligible earnings**
Pay Range
$121,117.00 - $181,676.00

  • Woodard & Curran provides up to 80 hours of Paid Parental Leave for bonding in a 12-month period.
