Your Role:
Under moderate supervision, the EHS Specialist I Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support services for the Rocklin, California sites including but not limited to EHS training, compliance program completion,and related filings, permit filing, OSHA reporting and filing, site auditing, deviation response, recordkeeping, KPI reporting, root cause investigations and risk assessments, and development of Injury and Illness Prevention Programs.

• Generate and submit all required OSHA and environmental reports
• Develop and implement workplace injury/illness prevention programs (IIPP) which includes health and safety procedures, incident investigation, and training
• Implement EHS programs in conjunction with Operations, Distribution, R&D, and other site functions
• Maintain and drive safety culture throughout sites
• Participate/Lead Employee EHS Committee(s) and site management team
• Develop new EHS concepts, techniques, and standards
• Assist in implementing and managing ISO 14001 and 45001 programs and Management Reviews with direct supervisor or assignee
• Rate EHS Incident (LTIR, EHSIR & EHSLR)
• Ensure alignment of EHS solutions with organizational objectives
• Coordinate/participate in activities associate with job hazard analysis, industrial hygiene monitoring, hazardous waste identification, collection and disposal, wastewater treatment, spill control and emergency planning, contractor safety, and safety engineering reviews
• Maintain and ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Certification
• Primary contributor for the EHS systems and help drive appropriate behaviors with direct supervisor or assignee
• Collaborate with site personnel to ensure a safe work environment
• Interpret EHS audit results and timely completion of corrective actions
• Inform management of EHS deviations
• Lead BeSafe! observations program.
• Develop and implement EHS training for all employees
• Ensure standard and consistent EHS methods are utilized
• Assist in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new or revised EHS requirements
• Escalate risks with respect to people, products, and processes
• Address and resolve EHS related issues
• Complete EHS compliance programs and appropriate agency filings in timely fashion
• Respond promptly interaction with Plant Management and HR to address EHS related employee issues
• Collaborate with impacted groups to ensure timely project completion related to EHS aspects
• Conduct appropriate EHS audits and ergonomic assessments
• Provide EHS support to Manufacturing and R&D for products that require design for development to ensure EHS aspects are incorporated
• Apply for all new EHS permits, renewals; complete and submit all required EHS reports and records

Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, or other discipline AND

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with performing ergonomic assessments
• Manage multiple projects with varying requirements and deadlines
• Experience with ISO14001, ISO45001, environmental regulations, chemical safety, ergonomics, fall protection, respiratory protection, lab safety, DOT and IATA regulations, Bloodborne Pathogens, and biosafety practices
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and manage corrective actions
• Experience with behavior-based safety programs
• Complete environmental permitting requirements
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Develop solutions to complex problems with ingenuity and innovation
• Strong computer skills
• Communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with outside contacts/vendors
